Unit Council

Code Of Conduct

Introduction

Through our combined loyalty and honor, we have formed this unit council. Honorable soldiers need little guidance in the form of rules or regulations as their own conscience and personal code of honor will dictate their actions. Yet there are those individuals who would act to dishonor not only themselves, but also their unit and all other honorable units. And our conduct as we interact with each other as well as others, determines how this alliance and all of our respective units are perceived. And because of this, it is vital that all members, current and future, of our collective units abide by this Code of Conduct. However, this set of guidelines are just that, guidelines. Your own sense of honor will be the ultimate judge of your conduct.

Unit Council Code of Conduct

1)    Always present yourself in a professional matter with respect for all others. It does not matter what you were in the past, it does matter what you are now. You are a member of our proud units; so present yourself in that fashion.

2)    Speak limiting the use of profanity, derogatory, offensive, or otherwise undesirable language, in both public and private conversations.

3)    We all understand that there will be misunderstandings. They are a normal part of communications. However, they must be dealt with in a professional manner.

4)    Always honor your word. Never allow yourself to be in a position to dishonor what you have promised. If you become unable to fulfill what you have said, inform the party as to why in a timely and professional manner.

5)    Always present yourself with humility and professional conduct.

6)    Respect those who have respected you. If the person you are dealing with does not respect you, then walk away. You are not going to help matters by arguing.

7)    Any member of a unit who abides by this Code of Conduct is duty bound to report violations of this Code to their respective chain of command. If they do not feel comfortable reporting to their chain of command, they may contact another unit commander with the violation.

Violations of the Code Of Conduct

Any member of a unit abiding by this Code of Conduct who willfully violates this Code risks immediate punishment.
