How to join the UN Spacy Organization.

If your unit wants to join the UN Spacy organization.  You need to petition the membership for admittance and be sponsored by a UN Spacy member unit.  At which point an investigation into your existence will be conducted, to determine if you meet the minimum requirements to be a UN member unit.  Your unit can also be invited to join the UN, but will be subject to the same requirements as a petitioning unit.

There are two degrees of membership.  One is a probationary term.  This allows for one member, from your unit, in the UN Spacy  membership area and one vote on inter unit items.  This term will last for at least a one months period of time. 

The second faze to becoming a member is the full membership.  This includes two member representatives from your unit and full voting privileges for both members.

To join the UN Spacy organization, your unit needs to meet certain basic criteria.  These include at least three members, this is so that your unit can fulfill your UN membership obligations.  Second, at least one member needs to have 100 Robotech points in their profile.  Third, your unit has to have been around for at least one month, this is represented by the first time your unit thread is posted in the lounge.  A web site will help expedite your membership.

After the first month has passed for a unit, it is entered into the probationary period of the UN.  When the other obligations are met during the second month.  i.e.  at least 3 members and one member with 100 points, unit existing for more than 2 months. Your unit will be admitted into full membership in the UN Spacy.

UN Representatives.  First representative from a unit must have at least 100 Robotech points.  Second representative must have at least 50 points.  Both representatives need to be in the command structure of the said unit.

An investigation shall be carried out by at least two UN members, that are not from a related unit.  To be appointed by the UN membership,  present, at a scheduled meeting.  The appointed investigators do not have to be present at the meeting.  But have to be notified via email at the meeting and have 7 days to agree or an alternate will have to be chosen.  Investigators will ensure that the new unit meets all guidelines to be a probationary member.  They will also help the unit become a full member.

In the event a unit ends up with less than the minimum required membership for more than 3 months.  I. E. less than three unit members.  Or if a unit is deemed inactive for more than four months.  I.E.  No representative from the said squad is present at any meeting in four months.  The said unit will be considered for a review.  At the end of the review period, should the unit not be in compliancy with items 1 and 2.  Then there membership will be considered for termination in the UN.  Before termination can occur, steps must be taken to reverse this trend.  I.E. Unit will be placed in a probationary category.  It takes at least four members at a scheduled meeting, with a majority vote.  To start procedures, to put a unit into one month probationary category and the member unit has to have been informed of said, via email.  Once a unit is in a probationary position, the said unit will have one month from the date of vote to become compliant. I.E.  They must meet the minimum membership requirements and have a member present at, at least one meeting per month.

Attendance at a meeting is defined as posting in meeting thread within 3 days of the scheduled meeting. 

A vote can be held, when two members submit a question to be discussed and then voted on.   All members must be notified of a discussion/vote via a post in the rt.com lounge or via email.  Voting period will last for 7 days and only members can vote.  At the end of the seven days the results will be posted and the item will be ratified.  In the event of a tie the item must be discussed and then put to the vote again.  If a tie persists then the item will be defeated.

Procedure of calling a meeting or a vote.  A meeting/vote can be called by any UN Spacy member.  The meeting must be posted, on the rt.com site, at least one week before the scheduled time that it will take place.  In the event of the need for a emergency meeting.  An emergency meeting requires that at least one member from two units call the meeting and that all member units are notified by posting in the rt.com lounge or via email.
